A Bash + Python CLI wrapping OpenAI Whisper, hardened for the failure mode that makes raw Whisper output untrustworthy: hallucination loops (the model repeating a phantom phrase). whisp strips those loops, and merges YouTube captions where available to improve proper-noun accuracy — critical when transcribing interviews full of researcher names and technical terms for the archive.
