Surge Synthesizer — software tester, 2019

Surge is a free and open-source software synthesiser. esaruoho contributed as a volunteer software tester through 2019. Concrete work:

• Software testing — manual testing with attention to graphical and audio detail
• Bug reporting to the volunteer developers
• Built a builder for the project — build tooling so the synth could be built locally
• Preset hunting — finding existing presets to bring into the project's library (distinct from curation)
• PDF manual → Markdown — converted the printed manual into Markdown for community editing
• GitHub maintenance
