I was only too happy to be taught by Risto Eskolin at his Johtoääni Studios during my studies at VIPA (Viihdealan Palveluammattilainen) at OMNIA, Espoo.
He showed me a ton of methods of using Finder, and got me truly broken in to using Mac OS X instead of being confused by it. He also tutored me on setting up multiple microphones for drum recordings, had me learn more about multi-tracking using Logic Pro 8, showed me the basics of using patchbays, hardware and software synthesizers, multieffects and mixing a full-on track.
He had me on hand to host sessions with external producers and clients, and in the end trusted me enough to have me cut, chop and process vocal recordings into individual words, for the UNICEF project "Tukijoukko" (automated "Well hi (name), please take part in our UNICEF project…" generation — there were hundreds of names, and I somehow got them all chopped up in the end, by hand).
